Tokyo, Japan -- Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President: Tatsuo Higuchi) has announced the April 1, 2008 launch in Japan of SOYJOY Strawberry, the latest addition to the fruit soy bar SOYJOY line.
SOYJOY Strawberry is a wheat-free bar-type nutrition product baked from dough made of powdered whole soybeans (hulled soybeans) and generous amounts of strawberries. The popularity of strawberries transcends age and gender. In taste tests, new SOYJOY Strawberry met with a favorable reception among women in their 20s in particular, receiving comments such as "the sweet fragrance of strawberry is intense; it's delicious" and "it has a fresh taste."
Containing no wheat flour, SOYJOY is a new type of nutrition product baked from dough made of powdered whole soybeans and generous amounts of real dried fruit. Since its launch in April 2006, SOYJOY has emphasized the functional benefits of soy and the joy of selecting a favorite flavor, providing a convenient, portable way to enjoy flavor and nutrition.
