Tokyo, Japan, March 3, 2011 - Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Taro Iwamoto) announced today that it will open an employer-sponsored day care center for children called BeanStalk Kids Center TOKUSHIMA.

In recent years, the importance of maintaining a work-life balance has been in the spotlight. The Otsuka Group, including Otsuka Pharmaceutical, is committed to providing its employees with a work environment that provides opportunities for continuing employment when raising a family. As such, Otsuka Pharmaceutical has decided to establish an employer-sponsored children's day care center. The company's first day care center will be located in Tokushima, which marks the beginnings of the 5,500-employee Otsuka Group. In the future, Otsuka Pharmaceutical plans to open day care centers at other locations within and outside of Japan as necessary.
