Formed in 2007 by employees with swimming experience and high aspirations, the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Swimming Club currently has 23 members. The personal experiences and results they have each achieved are proof of the efficacy of Otsuka products, and these swimmers are keen to return to the competitive arena of their student days. Competitive swimming is a tough sport that requires physical, technical and mental strength, and plenty of drive. All team members willingly take their own time to train, going to the gym after their normal working hours and doing strengthening exercises on their days off to maintain their commitment to both work and swimming.

August 2015 saw 1,532 athletes from 368 companies across Japan compete in the midsummer heat in the Japan Corporate Swimming Championships in Kagoshima. Up against numerous big names, including swimmers who have represented Japan in international competitions, the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Swimming Club climbed the podium three times out of the total of ten events they competed in.
In preparation for the national championship meet, both the men's and the women's teams had competed in the Tokyo Corporate Swimming Championships in July 2015, in which they both achieved third place.

Otsuka Pharmaceutical will continue to support the efforts of employees with high aspirations.
