How to Use Oronine Solution

As a spray

Stand the container upright and spray it as a mist directly onto the affected area.

As droplets

Tilt the container, and gently squeeze out droplets onto gauze or absorbent cotton, being careful to avoid excess dripping.

Indications

Oronine Solution is indicated for the following conditions.

  • Disinfection of scrapes
  • cuts
  • scratches
  • puncture wounds
  • foot blisters
  • and wound surfaces

Ingredients

The ingredients of Oronine Solution are listed below.

Active ingredients (per 100 mL)
  • Chlorhexidine gluconate solution (20%): 0.25 mL
  • Dibucaine hydrochloride: 100 mg
  • Chlorpheniramine maleate: 200 mg
  • Naphthazoline hydrochloride: 100 mg
Additives
  • Ethanol
  • purified water
  • *Note: Oronine Solution does not contain any steroids.

Dosage and Administration

Spray Oronine Solution on the affected area or soak gauze or absorbent cotton in Oronine Solution and then apply to the affected area. Apply several times a day.

Precautions Related to Dosage and Administration
  1. Children should only be allowed to use Oronine Solution under the supervision of a guardian.
  2. Take care to not get Oronine Solution in your eyes. If any Oronine Solution gets in your eyes, flush immediately with cold or lukewarm water. If symptoms are severe, consult an eye doctor.
  3. Oronine Solution should only be used externally.
  4. Oronine Solution should be applied only after wiping the affected and surrounding area clean of any excess dirt, etc.
  5. Prolonged skin contact with Oronine Solution should be avoided because it may cause inflammation associated with pain like burns.

(1) The following persons should consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered pharmacy clerk before using Oronine Solution.

  1. Persons being treated by a doctor.
  2. Persons who have experienced allergic reactions to drugs.
  3. Persons with extensive affected areas.
  4. Persons with severe weeping areas or open sores.
  5. Persons with deep wounds or severe burns.

(2) If the following symptoms occur after using Oronine Solution, they could be adverse reactions. Therefore, if such symptoms occur, the use of Oronine Solution should be discontinued immediately, and the product should be brought, along with the package insert that came with it, to a doctor, pharmacist, or registered pharmacy clerk for consultation.

  1. Skin rash, redness, itchiness, swelling, dryness, skin cracking

(3) If symptoms do not improve after 5 or 6 days of using Oronine Solution, its use should be discontinued, and the product should be brought, along with the package insert that came with it, to a doctor, pharmacist, or registered pharmacy clerk for consultation.

Precautions for Storage and Handling

  1. Store closed in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
  2. Store out of the reach of children.
  3. Do not remove the contents from the original packaging and store in a different container, as this could result in Oronine Solution being used improperly or in its quality being altered.
  4. Do not use this product beyond the expiration date.
