Tokyo, Japan- Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Taro Iwamoto) announced today that it will become the first company to introduce Gerlinéa, the calorie control brand from the major French functional and dietetic food maker Nutrition & Santé SAS (Head Office: Revel, France, hereafter N&S) to Japan. Test marketing at some companies will start in Tokyo and Shizuoka Prefecture from June 2, 2011.

The French have a dietary culture that supports an enjoyable and lively style of fitness. Having proposed the French Dietetic Secret, Otsuka Pharmaceutical has now developed Gerlinéa as the next step on from the initial development of the Gerblé brand nutritional and health foods, which use natural ingredients from the south of France.
