Nutrition & Santé Inaugurates New Gluten-Free Manufacturing Facility

  • New gluten-free manufacturing facility in Compiègne, France to begin production on May 10, 2017.
  • The European market for gluten-free foods is steadily expanding. In recognition of these escalating consumer needs, Nutrition & Santé began offering gluten-free products in 2007.

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo, Japan; President: Tastuo Higuchi) fully owned subsidiary Nutrition& Santé (Head Office: Revel, France; hereafter N&S) held a May 10, 2017 ceremony to mark completion and launch of operations at a new manufacturing facility located in Compiègne, France. The new plant will be a dedicated gluten-free production facility, with no wheat products used in any of the manufacturing lines.

A European leader in health and nutrition food products, N&S products are available in more than 40 countries. In response to growing demand for gluten-free foods in European markets, N&S has been offering gluten-free products since 2007. With sales of N&S gluten-free products continuing to post steady growth*1, completion of the new facility dedicated to production of gluten-free products will boost manufacturing capacity to meet these escalating consumer needs.

Didier Suberbielle, CEO of N&S commented at the completion ceremony: “I have today the great honor and pleasure to celebrate the inauguration of our new industrial site dedicated to the manufacturing of gluten-free products.
