Develop POCARI SWEAT and SOYJOY business in Singapore

I was born in Indonesia, and I am Chinese Indonesian. After I graduated high school, I got a scholarship to study at a university in Japan. I spent a total of 9 years in Japan, and now I am working in Singapore.

I started my career in Indonesia, at Amerta Indah Otsuka for two and half years, before I moved to Singapore in January 2014.

My job here is to raise the recognition of 2 brands, POCARI SWEAT and SOYJOY, as well as guiding the overall activities in Singapore to make the business a sustainable model. On top of my responsibilities in Singapore, I am also involved in developing new markets in other South East Asian countries, so I travel a lot to Indonesia and other Asian countries.

People often think that South East Asian countries are all very similar because of their history and culture, but you will notice that each market is actually quite different, when you look at their levels of health awareness, or the stages of economic growth. It is very important to think what the most suitable approach is for our products to be accepted and to permeate in each country.

Diversity creates new ideas

Diversity is an important contributing factor to create new ideas. Diversity is what I like about Singapore. Singapore has a population of about 5.5 million people, and foreigners comprise over 40% of this population.
