Cultural Activities

The Otsuka Museum of Art was founded in 1998 to enrich and enhance the local culture. Utilizing Otsuka Ohmi Ceramics' advanced technology, the museum features a unique collection of approximately 1,000 ceramic board replicas of world-renowned masterpieces, including works by prominent artists like Monet and Van Gogh, displayed in their full size. These ceramic board masterpieces not only offer visitors the opportunity to admire famous works of art from around the world without having to travel overseas but also serve as valuable tools for art education and the preservation of cultural assets. In line with its goal of promoting the region, the museum remains committed to collaborating with the local community and expanding its outreach efforts.
The Awa Dance and Otsuka Ren initiative

Otsuka Pharmaceutical established the “Otsuka Ren” in 1988 to preserve the traditional culture of the Awa Odori dance, which has a history of over 400 years. Each year, the group participates in the Awa Odori festival held in Tokushima City on August 12th. Employees from the Tokushima, Osaka, and Tokyo offices undergo rigorous training under the guidance of esteemed dance groups. Those who successfully pass the screening perform on the day, demonstrating their synchronized dancing and music. While rooted in the “traditional style” of Awa Odori, Otsuka Ren aims for further growth as a dance group while actively contributing to the preservation of this cultural heritage.
- *The term "Ren" is used in the Awa Dance tradition to refer to a team or group of performers.
Exciting Summer in WAJIKI

This live event started in 1990, a year after our factory was established in the industrial park of Wajiki-cho, Tokushima Prefecture (now Naka-cho, Naka-gun) by young members of the Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations to attract young people and energize the community. Now an established summer event, the concert is known by the nickname, "ExciSummer"
