Otsuka Pharmaceutical Launches "Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support ONLINE"
Broadening Support for Resolving Corporate Health Challenges
On February 13, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Otsuka) introduced "Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support ONLINE", a corporate health management support service. This comprehensive site encompasses diverse health content and innovative services, including online consultations, leveraging Otsuka's knowledge developed as a total healthcare company. The initiative aims to collaboratively engage with managers who espouse the principles of health and productivity management to foster a society that supports the ongoing health and welfare of working people and their families.

In recent times, there has been a growing focus on presenteeism -- a decline in labor productivity caused by health issues like mental or physical illness, even without resulting in absenteeism. Companies and managers are now urged to implement measures to mitigate health risks among their employees. Furthermore, in the job market, the benefits a company offers and its workplace environment have gained increased significance. The certification of a company as a Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization*1 has emerged as a key criterion for individuals when selecting an employer.
Although the number of companies aiming to become Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations is increasing every year, a health and productivity management survey*2 conducted by Otsuka indicated that even though 85% of managers in charge of health and productivity management -- including small and medium-sized enterprises managers -- were concerned about employee health, many expressed a lack of understanding on where to begin and anxieties about insufficient specialized knowledge. In July 2022, we started the full-scale launch of "Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support" (fee-based) as a support program provided by our employees with related qualifications. In the newly released "Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support ONLINE," we have added new services such as various health content, lectures by health experts, and online consultations, which managers and health management personnel can use anytime and anywhere.
Through this service, we aim to foster a society that supports the ongoing health and welfare of working people and their families by expanding our support for practical implementation and certification acquisition. Additionally, our Japanese free-of-charge community site, "Kenko Shacho"(Healthy President; https://www.kenko-shacho.com/ (Japanese), which has been in operation since 2020, provides insights, know-how, and support from our perspective as a total healthcare company.

（１）Support for Obtaining Certification as a Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization
Provides support for companies seeking Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization status alongside health-related support through Otsuka materials, including features such as the e-learning system, online consultations, discussions with specialists, and more.
（２）Support with Health Promotion
Provides video lectures by diverse experts covering subjects ranging from health maintenance and promotion to preventive measures.
（３） Support for Corporate Branding
Provides access to initiatives such as case studies through "Kenko Shacho" and health management events.
Target organizations: Small and medium-sized enterprises with 30 or more employees aiming to be Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations.
