The new maple flavor CalorieMate Block be launched nationwide in Japan on September 29, 2009.
The new maple flavor CalorieMate Block is the result of more than a year-and-a-half of research to identify a flavor that would appeal to young people in particular, who account for a high proportion of the growing number of people who tend to skip breakfast*. Maple-flavored CalorieMate Block provides a flavorful and healthy solution that can be consumed even on mornings when there's no time for a leisurely breakfast.

The rich flavor and subtle sweetness of natural maple sugar is balanced by the fragrance of orange peel, with the addition of soy sauce as the secret ingredient that creates a rich and satisfying, savory flavor. The new maple flavor CalorieMate was conceived to appeal to people in all age groups and walks of life, and to young women in their teens and 20s in particular.
Launched in 1983, CalorieMate is based on the idea of adapting enteral formula, initially developed as medical food, into nutritional supplements for healthy people.
