Full-scale Launch of "Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support" Service
Otsuka Pharmaceutical Supports Resolution of Health Issues for Small & Medium-sized Enterprises

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Otsuka) has announced the July 7, 2022 full-scale launch of the "Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support" service to support health and productivity management for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). Leveraging knowledge developed as a total health care company concerned about people's overall wellbeing, Otsuka aims to work together with corporate leaders who espouse the principles of health and productivity management to foster a society that supports the ongoing health and welfare of working people and their families.

Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support Service

A health and productivity management survey*1 conducted by Otsuka indicated that though 85% of managers in charge of health and productivity management including SME managers were concerned about employee health, many expressed a lack of understanding on where to begin and anxieties about insufficient specialized knowledge. Already involved in numerous initiatives to address SME health and productivity management issues, Otsuka is launching the Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support service (fee-based) to overcome these and other challenges. Otsuka employees who have earned Health & Productivity Management Expert Advisor*2 and Health & Productivity Management Advisor*2 qualifications will offer participating businesses support for implementation of health and productivity management initiatives and for recognition as Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations*3.

In advance of the new service, Otsuka launched the "Kenko Shacho" (Healthy President; (Japanese))community website (free-of-charge service), providing information and services to support corporate leaders in implementation of health and productivity management, connecting local governments, organizations and corporations to plan and organize events, seminars, and other programs to contribute to SME workforce health promotion initiatives. The new Kenkokeiei Tsunagaru Support service will expand existing support services, aiming to foster a society that supports the ongoing health and welfare of working people and their families, enhancing productivity and reinforcing the management foundation of participating SMEs from the perspective of a total healthcare company.
