Opening Egypt's First ORONAMIN C DRINK Factory
Meeting Growing Demand and Contributing to Community Health
Arab Otsuka Nutraceuticals Co., S.A.E. (AON), a subsidiary of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Otsuka), has opened the Otsuka Robeki Factory to meet growing demand for ORONAMIN C DRINK (ORONAMIN C) in Egypt and the Middle East. A completion ceremony was held on February 11. This facility is the first factory in Egypt within Otsuka's Nutraceutical Business. ORONAMIN C manufactured at the Otsuka Robeki Factory will go on sale in Egypt starting in May 2026, with expansion to the Middle Eastern markets planned from July.
ORONAMIN C DRINK (120ml)
ORONAMIN C was first launched in Japan in 1965 as a carbonated nutritional drink that anyone, from children to adults, could enjoy. It was subsequently launched in several countries in the Middle East in 1985 and has since become a popular nutritional drink for the whole family in the region. Since launching in Egypt in 2024, ORONAMIN C has seen steady growth, reflecting an increasing focus on health and wellness. To meet rising local health needs, establish a stable supply through local production, and contribute to the community through job creation, Otsuka has established the Otsuka Robeki Factory.
As an open factory, the Otsuka Robeki Factory will feature a visitor walkway that allows guests to learn about the manufacturing process and quality control systems, along with spaces designed to make learning about vitamins and other nutrients engaging. Through these initiatives, the facility aims to deepen understanding and trust in ORONAMIN C while contributing to greater health awareness among local residents.
The Otsuka Robeki Factory will also reduce its environmental impact by incorporating a high‑efficiency water treatment system and a steam condensate recovery system to minimize water usage. Looking ahead, the factory plans to advance efforts to reduce CO₂ emissions through the installation of solar power systems and other renewable energy initiatives.

■ORONAMIN C's Overseas Expansion
ORONAMIN C is a refreshing carbonated nutritional drink that contains a range of vitamins, such as vitamin C, B₂, and B₆, which are among the five essential nutrients required by the human body. Designed to deliver a sense of "vitality," it is enjoyed across a wide range of everyday situations.
First launched in Japan in 1965, ORONAMIN C expanded to the Middle East in 1985. In Egypt, sales began in 2024, and the product was approved as a Fortify Drink1 by the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA).
ORONAMIN C marked its 60th anniversary in 2025 and is now delivering "vitality" in more than 10 countries and regions worldwide. Its distinctive brown bottle, red label, and iconic product logo share a consistent design across all markets.
