Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has announced the March 19, 2018 debut of SOYJOY Crispy Banana, a new addition to the SOYJOY line of whole-soy*1 nutrition bars.

Characterized by the light, crunchy texture of puffed soy, SOYJOY Crispy Banana offers the mellow sweetness and rich fragrance of banana puree. Made from all-vegetable ingredients, SOYJOY Crispy Banana is a high-protein, low-GI food.

SOYJOY

SOYJOYLaunched in 2006, the SOYJOY line has steadily expanded its selection of flavorful nutrition bars, each delivering the equivalent of 35 whole soybeans. Incorporating the light and crunchy texture of puffed soy, SOYJOY Crispy was launched in 2016.

A low-GI food

'GI' stands for 'glycemic index'. A measurement of how carbohydrates in foods affect blood sugar levels, a low-GI indicates gradual absorption of carbohydrates, which is said to offer benefits for weight control. Foods with a glycemic index of 55 or less are considered low-GI. All SOYJOY products are recognized as low-GI foods.
