To maintain healthy and beautiful skin, we have focused our research on the skin renewal cycle, also known as cellular turnover. We have examined the causes of cellular turnover disorders, which can result in loss of firmness, dryness, and dullness*1 across various skin environments. Our findings highlight the importance of regulating the epidermal environment, which can be disrupted by factors such as aging, dryness, and irritation, to maintain skin health.

Therefore, we launched Repair Lotion and Repair Milk as a basic skincare line designed to manage the epidermal environment. These products are intended to be used alongside items containing Otsuka's proprietary active medicated ingredient, Energy Signal APM*2.

These products help regulate the epidermal environment with high moisturizing ingredients, supporting the skin's cellular turnover process. The result is healthy, firm skin deeply moisturized from within.

About InnerSignal: The story behind development of InnerSignal

Focusing on the idea of activating energy metabolism as the key to healthy skin, Otsuka Pharmaceutical pursued proprietary research, examining more than 1,000 varieties of plants and yeasts. In 2004, these efforts led to the development of active medicated ingredient Energy Signal AMP, the first ingredient to be approved for effects and efficacy in suppressing accumulation of melanin and preventing blemishes and freckles. InnerSignal skin care products containing Energy Signal AMP stimulate cellular turnover to prevent accumulation of melanin, offering a natural and positive approach to brightening*5.

Our InnerSignal range now includes a new basic skincare line designed to address epidermal imbalance and support cellular turnover.
