Otsuka Pharmaceutical (Otsuka) has announced its support for CLEAN SPORT NIPPON SELECT, a supplement information disclosure initiative led by the Japan Sport Fairness Commission (J-Fairness). The organization, newly recognized as a key partner for national and public bodies in this year's revision of the Basic Act on Sport, is promoting anti-doping policies through this project. On December 19, analysis results for 22 Otsuka beverage and food products were published on the initiative's website.

Athletes are required to understand and follow anti-doping rules to protect themselves from violations. However, in recent years, the information athletes are expected to manage on their own has become increasingly complex. As a result, both athletes and sports organizations are calling for greater transparency and access to information that can help guide safe decisions when using supplements.

In response to this situation, J-Fairness began implementing CLEAN SPORT NIPPON SELECT, a program designed to help athletes make informed decisions when using supplements. To ensure reliability, the program reviews and publishes information only on products made by companies with a long-standing record of supporting national sports federations and governing bodies. The results are available on the program's official website.

Otsuka has long supported the activities of national sports federations and governing bodies, including the Japan Sport Association. The company has also continued to promote well-being in sports, including anti-doping initiatives, through ongoing partnerships and awareness programs. These include sponsorship for the "Certified Sports Pharmacist^*1" qualification program, which is jointly operated by the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA) and J-Fairness. Additionally, these programs provide support for the Sports Pharmacy Registration System, a J-Fairness initiative that encourages pharmacies to promote well-being through sports.
