In recent years, amid increasing social diversity, the importance of promoting health to each life stage has been highlighted as a key health issue facing children today. 1At the same time, schools are required to make effective use of appropriate supplementary teaching materials amid limited time and staffing resources.2 Guided by its corporate philosophy of contributing to better health worldwide, Otsuka has long pursued product development based on scientific evidence while actively disseminating and promoting health-related information grounded in knowledge gained through research and development. In the area of heat illness prevention in particular, the company has conducted research on fluid and electrolyte replenishment for more than 30 years and has accumulated scientific evidence demonstrating its importance. Alongside these efforts, Otsuka has continuously undertaken awareness activities to highlight the importance of proper hydration and electrolyte intake across a wide range of generations and settings, including sports, schools, and workplaces in hot environments.
Through this website, Otsuka provides digital health education materials tailored to elementary, junior high, and high school levels for use by educators. The materials are designed for use in a wide range of educational settings, including classroom lessons, homeroom activities, guidance during club activities, and school health newsletters. All materials are available free of charge and can be viewed and downloaded online. In addition, by offering materials developed in accordance with the Course of Study curriculum guidelines, the website provides an environment that is accessible and easy to use for schools and education professionals nationwide. Through the educational materials available on this website, Otsuka aims to contribute to health education that helps children develop the ability to think proactively about their own health and take appropriate action.

■Otsuka's Initiatives for Heat Illness Prevention
In the Otsuka Group's Fourth Medium-Term Management Plan, "the global environment" is positioned as one of the key social issues to be addressed. As climate change leads to an increase in extremely hot days and tropical nights around the world, health challenges related to physical condition management and heat protection associated with rising temperatures are becoming increasingly important. In addition to concluding comprehensive cooperation agreements on health with more than 800 local governments nationwide, including all 47 prefectures in Japan, Otsuka entered into a partnership agreement in 2023 with Japan's Ministry of the Environment, its first such agreement focused on promoting heat illness prevention. Through collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, Otsuka promotes the dissemination of information on hydration and electrolyte replenishment, as well as preventive measures such as precooling. Otsuka also conducts the Heat Illness Prevention Ambassador® Training Program, which provides local governments, schools, and companies with the specialized knowledge necessary for raising awareness and promoting heat illness prevention. (Special cooperation: Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency; Endorsed by the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.) In addition, Otsuka supports the dissemination of accurate information through initiatives such as providing schools with the educational materials "Water and Health."
■Otsuka's Initiatives in Nutrition Education
In addition to providing information on nutrition, Otsuka has recently focused on initiatives that utilize digital technologies. For children and young people and their parents, Otsuka has developed the nutrition education app "SketchCook: Delicious Drawing," which uses AI technology to make learning about nutrition enjoyable (2018), as well as the AR-based nutrition education game app "Mogu Mogu Town" (2024). In April 2026, Otsuka's collaborative initiatives with various organizations through "Mogu Mogu Town" were recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, earning the Judges' Special Award in the Corporate Category of the 10th Nutrition Education Promotion Awards (Education-Related Organizations and Businesses Division). In addition, Otsuka was certified as a "Nutrition Education Excellence Company 2026," a designation newly established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, in recognition of its initiatives for employee nutrition education and health promotion. These initiatives include programs that leverage Otsuka's own expertise and its nutrition monitoring service, Vivoo.
