When tea mixed with 5 grams of indigestible dextrin was taken with a meal of udon noodles, the rise in blood glucose levels was significantly suppressed, compared to subjects that ate the same meal with just plain tea.

This study shows that triacylglycerol level in subjects who drank a beverage with 5 grams maltodextrin when eating a fast food meal rose more slowly than in subjects who drank a beverage without maltodextrin.
